Ecozest is a floral design studio based in the Garden Route of South Africa. We create beautiful and thought provoking floral design for weddings, corporate events and other celebrations.
Owner of Ecozest suggests that Brides decide what flowers they love most and then do some research as to when they are available according to the seasons.
One can then plan your wedding around that time of the year if at all possible to make sure you will have these flowers at your wedding. One can have a beautiful late winter, early spring wedding with fynbos, Proteas and Pincushions blooming as they are not so easily available during the hot summer months.
Although a big variety of flowers are grown throughout all four seasons, some are very season-specific and will look at their best during that time. If you have a certain style you like, it will be best to discuss options with your florist to allow for alternatives that will last and look good on your wedding day. It is good to have a trusting relationship with your florist and to allow them to express their creativity to make sure your wedding has its own originality and flair.
Ecozest is inspired by the medium they work with; looking at nature and how plants grow and change through the seasons, but mostly, my inspiration comes from within. One does this by tapping into one’s own creativity shape it by experience and observations while interpreting a specific brief with a fresh approach. They love art, design, hand craft, stylish and authentic creatives as well as the natural world. It all becomes part of one’s broader field of vision that nurtures one’s inspiration.
